As you may have guessed by now, I don't keep totally up on the newest anime. It's kinda hard, when our cable provider is so *@^&%! expensive and--shock of shocks--local rental places don't carry much anime either.
Luckily, Magna is so much easier to come by (can you say library?). So I have to come by the latest anime episodes through buzz, or Youtube, begging, or sheer blind luck, in some cases. There are some that I've seen bits and pieces of that have not been to my tastes, I guess that I've not enjoyed. and others that I have. Or at least that have not... well, sucked, and so I add them here.
Love Hina
A while back, little bro lent me a dvd of a few episodes and I liked what I saw. This one is about a group of students, girls and one lone young man (Keitaro), and their strange little (magical?) turtle, all of whom share an apartment at a student tenement once owned by Keitaro's grandmother. Keitaro has loved Naru (the main female character) since childhood and they made a promise to go to Tokyo U together. Well, it didn't work out quite as planned but Keitaro won't be daunted in his pursuit of passing the entrance exams, nor his pursuit of his beloved Naru, All sorts of nuttiness occurs. Cute and worth a look.

Bleach:
This is another one I'm vaguely familiar with, now. I'm just looking into this one, but from what I've seen it seems to concern supernatural characters interacting with our world: Death comes to do her job and gets caught in the act by the average human and ... it's all downhill from there? Or so it seems, from the bits I saw recently. Somehow that appeals, as it did in Inuyasha, so I might be vaguely hooked. :) Still investigating. But it shows promise!
